Tutorial: My go to full face makeup !

Today I’m going to be sharing the contents of *one of* my go-to looks that I’ve been wearing a lot..
The thing about this is that it’s so versatile, you could add some lashes and dark lipstick for a more dramatic effect, or stick to the mascara and a natural lip for a more toned down feel.

Collective Haul - Makeup buying ban? *yeah right*

Recently, I've put myself on a makeup buying ban, to reduce the amount of material things I spend money on. Surprisingly, I only bought the things I needed. Being a beauty blogger, I'll have to improvise on that but I'll find a way. The good thing is, I only bought 3 of these things, which is improvement from my post shopaholic madness. The rest were gifts! *people felt my struggle*

MUFE Life is a Stage - Q & A with Maya Ahmed

Not sure what was up with me but I look horrible compared to her! She is so sweet and adorable and I finally got the chance to meet her and ask her so many things. We talked about insecurities, eye shapes, and even Game of Thrones! If you don't know who she is then you're missing a lot...

QUEEN BEE by Lipstick Queen

This had me so tempted to try I can't wait to get my hands on it! As we all know by now I own every single lip balm that has ever hit the market and therefore shall make no exceptions..

Here's what's been said about this honey glazed goodness:

“Queen Bee is inspired by the beauty, potency and nurturing qualities of one of nature’s most delectable elixirs: honey. Caring for your lips has never been such a buzz!” Poppy King

Just look at that bullet.. *swoons*

" Oozing with nourishing ingredients to soothe, repair and hydrate the delicate skin of the lips, Queen Bee is a treatment with a difference. As well as caring for sore, chapped or dry lips with its moisture-rich formulation, it laces them with a delicate bronze gold finish, creating a subtly gilded lip effect with a sensual shimmer.

Queen Bee’s formula is enriched with Royal Jelly, a nourishing and skin-soothing active that replenishes dry lips, as well as chamomile and sunflower extract to help to soothe and heal. The finishing touch is an irresistible honey fragrance that makes this lip treatment almost good enough to eat!

Wear Queen Bee on its own or layer it with another shade for extra protected lips with a glistening bronze gold finish. "

Queen Bee from Lipstick Queen will be available exclusively in Bloomingdales and Harvey Nichols from May 2015. It costs AED 125.

The Prettiest Blush!

Ever wanted that perfect shade of both pink and peach mixed together? With a subtle highlight enough to make it look like you're "glowing from within" in a non-overwhelming way.. To top it off this shade is also a dupe for the coveted NARS Orgasm everyone is after.

Rant: "The Imperfections and Beauty"

Today I wanted to get personal, and share a story with you all that may seem so simple, but carried a lot of meaning to me. Some people are used to different things and if you can't relate to something, it's always best to look at it from a different perspective, this drastically changes things.

Maybelline Mascara Comparisons

Anyone who's ever asked me for a mascara advice, always gets these for an answer. Simply because they're amazing. A drugstore brand that never fails to impress, and an extensive array of wands to choose from and an on point formulation. Maybelline always gets it right. A few coats can give you a look similar to that of a high end mascara. Despite these being high performance drugstore products, they don't replace my beloved They're Real by Benefit, or my Lancome one.

A New Beginning

Lately I've been MIA for a while. Part of me wanted to do so much for this blog, the other part was doing something else. I've been refreshing a lot lately, many things have changed and I feel ready to share my process. Hopefully this will translate well on my blog as I've planned so many new experiences that I would like to share.

Inside The Face Shop + New department store in MCC !

Hello everyone! Last week I went to Mirdif City Centre, my second favourite mall..Dubai Mall comes first because BOOK WORLD! DUH.. I was really excited to go to "The Face Shop" specially after everyone talking about it recently. I used to LOVE the face shop, but it was an old favourite actually. Way old. Before they changed up some of their products etc.. I mainly stopped going there after the nearest one to me closed down. When I went there last week, I fell in love all over again.

3 things I always use.. Mac Edition!

So basically I wanted to share three favourites from mac because they're just really staples.. My first mac blush, first eyeshadow and a limited edition sculpting powder from the Maleficent collection..

This is "Love Joy", a mineralise blush.. I really like this for winter, because it's more of a plum colour with golden specks in it, I really like the shimmer, despite not being a shimmer person, this shows up very nicely. The pictures are actually very true to colour..

I JUST SKIPPED MY OWN BIRTHDAY!! WHAT??

I know I am not the best when it comes to consistency, but I swear I love my blog. Thing is, I will only write about things if I truly love them, and if I feel that I can "blog". For me this is about loving what you do.. so if I wake up one day and decide to write 10 posts about things I love, I will do just that. And if I can go a whole month without a post, I'm not neglecting my space. It's just that sometimes it's better to not post anything than to write something I don't truly feel 100% connected to. I like to put my all in these posts and sometimes nothing is better than "less than my best". I just realised October 22 marked the first post I made on here, and that day had just past by after one year, and I hadn't noticed.. for that I apologise.. To make up for it, I will post every day of the month in December.. now I know this is crazy.. but I am doing my AS levels.. and this month I have exams.. #shortsadstory #highschoolhorror #iamsorry
Regardless of whether someone reads my blog or not. I am truly grateful for each person who has taken their time to read my posts. I hope I continue to deliver good to the world. Thank you very much. Love, Farida Sherif. xx

Urban Decay Basics- Review *must have palette for everyone*

Revlon Nearly Naked foundation- Review

I was never a fan of foundation, ever. The look of it was never pleasing, neither was the feeling.. It felt very heavy on my skin and I always just skipped it over because it was an overwhelming task for me.. I really did.
Naked skin is possibly the best way to go in my opinion.. But how about your naked skin, but better? The feeling of "oh wow, I actually look healthy after a week of work overload", is a very good one if I may say so.

Grandma Beauty Secret:Rose Water Toner

One of the things that my grandmothers have both taught me is the power of Rose water. Believe it or not this is something that I would use ever since I was 4... My grandma would use it for so many different things and among them was using it on her skin. She would pass me a cotton ball soaked with rose water and just the scent of it was enough to bring back memories. I was really young and it was okay.. because it is a very mild and pure distillation of roses, it wouldn't really harm my skin. Untill now, this has been something that stuck with me and I will continue to hopefully pass it on.Nowadays, you can get it with many additives and chemicals to "enhance" its performance, but nothing works better than the pure organic essence of roses.
